    Don’t Pick Your Nose

The first animated gif I ever posted on the internet in 2004 was the queen picking her nose. This video was made to celebrate its 5 year anniversary, which seems kind of hilarious now, celebrating something after 5 years. 5 years is like a couple of months to me these days.

    Polydor Presents

I can’t remember what these clips were actually used for. I think it was some kind of corporate presentation maybe. They look kind of derranged without any context, but I can’t think of any context that would help explain the contents of this video.

    LittleBigPlanet

This was an interesting job. I had to go to the game studio and build the whole advert using the game itself. Always fun to push back against creative limitations. There were a few other artists there doing the same thing. Then we got some executive feedback saying our designs were too polished, and we had to make them look more scrappy and home-made. I achieved this by adding some “sticky tape” textures to the side of the van, which makes no actual sense for a video game, but whatever.

I’ve no idea what this advert is even selling. Back when my animation mix was popular it became like a library of ideas for advertisers to browse though and pick the ones they wanted. Which was fine by me. I’ll never complain about getting paid for work I’ve already done.

    E4 Sting

E4 used to have a yearly competition to make a “sting” for their channel. I decided to enter with this video and actually ended up winning, which was a nice surprise. Glass trophy and everything.
