Making an advert for Woolmark was not on my list of things I ever expected to happen, but here it is. A journey through 50 years of woolly fashion. They sent me all the footage to play around with, and I did my best to limit the number of grotesque bodily mutations and eldritch tentacles I included.

Occupy
Music video for the band Gong. I grew up listening to Gong, so it was quite surreal to end up making a video for them. The whole thing is made out of whatever coins I happened to have in my pocket at the time, plus this fake note I put together using art from the album and a photo of lead singer Daevid Allen. Sadly he passed away not long after the video was released. RIP mate.

A bunch of Adult Swim clips. That one with the toilet cow is kind of demented, even by my standards. I wouldn’t even know how to describe that with words. Good stuff.

Malfunction
This video grew like a weird fungus from the rotting remains of some old footage I found. Not much more I can add to that. Sometimes you make a video, and sometimes the video just makes itself.

Chimpnology
When I made this video, the idea of a machine making art was so ridiculous I thought it would make a funny subject for one of my animations. Turns out it was kind of prescient though…
The footage I used came from a strange old film with an unpronouncable title that was supposedly typed by a chimpanzee.
