Flying Lotus – Putty Boy Strut

A music video for Flying Lotus, for this I teamed up with friend and illustrator Sarah Brown (who I previously worked with on Meow and the Counting Song). She made the robots and I made them go horrible.

    I really loved this one ! :D It is in a way quite similar to “MEOW” from a the graphic point of view, besides the story it tells is truly pleasant and attractive.
    As regards the monstrous mechanical maggot growing and eating all there is on its way, it’s easy to recognize you through this video. ;)

    This is amazing. I love the contrast between the cute mechanical things and the increasingly monstrous looking individual. I also like the parts where the robots get startled. I’d like to see you animating more stuff for warp records in the future.

    Just wanted to drop you a line & say your animation to this Flying Lotus song is phenomenal. My 4 year old son, Elijah, is OBSESSED with this video and asks to watch it at least 7 times per day. He calls the video the “Flying Lotus Robots”, lol.

    Just wanted t give you a shout-out & thanks for sharing your talent. Elijah is a BIG BIG fan. :)
